Power of Play | CityU Banga Gallery | VR Maze Experience
We create the VR maze experiences for the Power of Play exhibition at the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery at the City University of Hong Kong.
The exhibition situates video games within the history of board games over 5,000 years and explores the evolution of games with digital technologies. The exhibition looks at different kinds of games including a section on maze games called Lost? In the Labyrinths. For this section, MetaObjects created three multi-player maze experiences including two hedges and one labyrinth, all based on real-life locations. The experiences were developed MetaQuest 3 headsets where players are able to see each other in the maze. Screens are displayed outside of the play area for spectators to view the virtual experience. The Power of Play exhibition is on from 4 July - 25 October 2026.
